It happened when Draymond started trash-talking with Carlton Carrington and the moment was saved by Poole.
Poole pushed Carrington away from the site, while Draymond urged on Poole, fearing Carrington's 19-year-old mind could potentially dampen his game. “Draymond, leave him alone. Leave him alone Draymond," one fan shouted.
Poole stole Green's pass and dunk it in. That game was a great one with fun banter. Curry hit a corner-three, and Green pointed to his greatness. GSW won the game with a score of 125-112. Green scored 18 points, while Poole had 24. This incredible moment was as if they were teammates before. The incident is likened to a volcano, which boils up until it hits a tipping point with a punch from Draymond. It was now when Poole needed to get his contract extended and Green was finally nearing the last year of his deal.
After the incident, Poole mentioned, “Draymond apologized, and we plan on handling ourselves that way. We’re going to play basketball. Everybody in the locker room knows what it takes to win a championship, and we’re going to do that on the court. That’s really all I have to say on the matter. We’re here to win a championship and keep hanging banners.”
