During a recent interview, Jokić answered questions about potential improvements for the All-Star Weekend. He responded briefly saying that the festivities should be able to hold all All-Star Weekend activities within a single day. His proposal demonstrates his wish to deliver a more effective and captivating experience for players and fans. “Just one day, let’s make everything in one day,” the 30-year-old Nuggets center said.

Traditionally, the NBA All-Star Weekend spans three days—

  • Friday: Rising Stars Challenge, featuring young talents.
  • Saturday: The Saturday schedule includes the Skills Challenge followed by the Three-Point Contest and the Slam Dunk Contest.
  • Sunday: The All-Star Game serves as a platform that displays the league's premier players.
Multiple events make up the current All-Star Weekend format which has faced criticism for not providing exciting competition. A single-day program for All-Star activities would provide multiple benefits

Careful planning would be necessary to implement this modification. Scheduling several events on a single day may introduce logistical difficulties while also risking viewer exhaustion. The NBA must evaluate how its financial income and alliance agreements will be affected by implementing the extended weekend format.
