In one of the biggest nail-biting matches of the 2024-25 NBA season, Oklahoma City Thunders crumbled against the Denver Nuggets. After maintaining a winning streak with 7 games, the Oklahoma City Thunders faced its first loss against the Nuggets.

22-year-old Peyton Watson was the undisputed brain behind the much-talked-about victory of the Denver Nuggets. Watson went on to transform into a hero within a matter of seconds after missing out on two free throws which could have changed the trajectory of the match. The Denver Nuggets bounced back with enthusiasm in the second half of the match and the rest is history.

Denver Nuggets had clinched the trophy back in the 2023 NBA championship. The Oklahoma City Thunder fell flat even after Shai Gilgeous Alexander’s 28 points and Jaylen Williams' 10 rebounds, 29 points, and 9 assists.

Oklahoma City Thunder's Coach Mark Daigneault spoke about the first loss of the team after maintaining a winning streak of seven matches during the ongoing NBA season. During a post-match interview, the OKC coach mentioned-

"We gave ourselves a chance, obviously, down two with the ball. We just didn't have our fastball, especially on the defensive end of the floor, in a game we had pretty good control of. So credit them. They played 48 minutes Denver did,"

As Oklahoma City Thunders witnessed its first loss this NBA season, fans still believe that the team still has the potential to clinch the trophy. They even believe that this particular defeat should motivate the players to perform better on the court.
