Anthony Davis has finally responded to one of the greatest shockers of recent times in the NBA as he was traded
from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for
Luka Doncic. While the trade has stunned everyone from NBA stars to legends, analysts to fans, the swap will also cause ripple effects in the gameplay of both rosters. Amid all the concern and following Doncic’s reaction, Davis has finally shared his thoughts on the deal bidding farewell to his former team in a heartfelt post.

Anthony Davis took a while but he finally shared his thoughts on the surprising trade that reshuffled the thoughts of the entire NBA community. In a stunning weekend trade, the Los Angeles Lakers reshaped their roster by acquiring
Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, and Markieff Morris. In return, they sent Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick to the Mavericks as part of a three-team deal involving the Utah Jazz.
On Monday, one day after the trade, Davis shared a lengthy touching message sharing footage of his memories with the Lakers. “LA- 6 years ago, I came here with the vision to win a Championship, and I will never forget the moment we did!” Davis wrote on Instagram.
Davis who won the 2020 NBA Finals with the
Los Angeles Lakers, further shared, “The business of basketball is a business just like all other businesses… I am grateful to the city where my first ring came from, grew my family and friendships and I will always have a home here.”
Alongside his family, the former Lakers veteran extended his gratitude to the fans and everyone affected by the devastating Los Angeles Wildfires recently. “My family and I thank everyone who made this place home and we are still thinking of those that lost their homes in the fires.”
