Former Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson proved that he is a great friend and a supportive cheerleader to Michael Vick. The 44-year-old football coach was appointed as the head coach at the Norfolk State University and Iverson was present at the introductory press conference rooting for his friend.

During the introductory press conference, the Philadelphia 76ers alum spoke about Michael Vick. The former Atlanta Falcons star and Iverson are childhood buddies and even grew up together in Norfolk. While talking about Vick, he recalled-


“I love him so much. I just know he deserved it. We come from the same area, and we understand each other because we went through similar lives. It’s hard to get away from here, and go to where you want to go in life with all the different distractions, and everything that comes with trying to be somebody that you always wanted to be,”

"That's my little homie. I love Mike. We always have a great relationship,"

From their childhood, Michael Vick and Allen Iverson have been good friends. With their hard work and dedication towards their interests, both Allen Iverson and Michael Vick went on to become the best in their respective fields.


Back in 2001, Michael Vick was one of the top picks for the Atlanta Falcons, similarly, Iverson was the top pick for the Philadelphia 76ers in 1996.

During an appearance on the media outlet NFL Films back in 2019, Allen Iverson spoke about his love for Football, his good friend Michael Vick, and Basketball.
