Everyone in the basketball community showered Caitlin Clark with love on her 24th birthday on Thursday. Clark's birthday felt like a celebration of how much she has already achieved in such a brief professional career, from the league itself to her closest personal support network.
This also applied to Aliyah Boston, her Fever colleague. She shared a collage of pictures of herself and Clark on her Instagram account, along with a heartfelt message. Aliyah's birthday greeting to Caitlin Clark only served to strengthen the relationship between the two Indiana Fever stars.
Aliyah Boston’s birthday message for Caitlin Clark offers a heartfelt glimpse into their growing bond
Due to Fever's difficulties, the team was able to select Aliyah Boston with the first pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, and a year later, Caitlin Clark at number one. Those two players have enough skill to provide a solid basis for success. The fact that the two get along well both on and off the court is even more advantageous than just having them on the roster.
A message Boston sent to Clark on the superstar guard's 24th birthday strengthened their bond once more. On her Instagram story, the Fever center shared a montage of pictures of herself and Clark with a positive message.
Boston wrote as the caption, capturing just how close the duo is:
"My sissttaaaa.. happy birthday queen I love you so much!!! Have the best day everrr..”
The post came hours after Los Angeles Sparks player Kelsey Plum openly praised Boston. When Plum made an appearance on Aliyah Boston and Candace Parker's podcast, Post Moves, she told Boston:
“Obviously, I had a ton of respect playing against you. I know how good you are offensively, and I don’t think you get enough credit defensively for how good you are. But then being your teammate and just watching you gobble people up in the paint on both sides…”
She continued:
“It reminds me in a lot of ways of A’ja. You don’t really have to worry about anything. You just kind of like throw it in the vicinity, and they’re gonna get it. You make me look good a lot.”
Indiana Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark share a close bond
Despite being only 24 years old, Aliyah Boston has already made three All-Star selections and was named to both the All-WNBA Second Team and the All-Defensive Second Team this past season. She is now more than simply one of the league's top young stars.
There are several gifted big players in the WNBA, but A'ja Wilson is unquestionably the best. Wilson has won four regular-season MVP honors, been named Defensive Player of the Year three times, guided the Aces to three titles since 2022, won MVP of the Finals in 2023 and 2025, and led the league in blocks and points in multiple seasons. Wilson is on pace to become the WNBA GOAT and is currently the greatest player in the world.
Boston and Clark, meanwhile, make significant progress. On December 11, Boston, Clark, and her teammates celebrated her 24th birthday. In an episode of her Post Moves podcast with Candace Parker on December 17, she disclosed the same information.
When Parker asked Boston about her birthday, Boston said:
“It was good! I actually used that day and traveled down to Durham for USA basketball, so that was super fun. But I did go to dinner."
With both Clark and Boston under contract through 2026, Indiana is in a wonderful position. This further demonstrates that their bond is as strong as ever.
