The 2025 NBA playoffs have taken an interesting turn as the race to reach the finals is approaching its end. On Tuesday, May 27, the Indiana Pacers will have a matchup against the Knicks, who will have all their energy invested in tying the series.
In the Western Conference, the chance for the Minnesota Timberwolves to play the finals seems to be slipping out of their hands fast. They dropped their Monday game to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are now leading the series 3-1.
The top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder’s quest to reach the NBA finals is not new. They have been trying to make ot to the finals for the last 13 years. In the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers may make a place in the finals after 2000. Even the Knicks have not tasted success in the East finals since 1999.
So, in essence, the NBA finals will see historical successes when the teams beat their corresponding opponents. With most of the popular teams already out of the competition, NBA finals have become the clash of new names trying to make it big.
