NBA legend Dwight Howard finds 'peace' in Kashi, hails PM Narendra Modi for transforming holy city

VARANASI: Celebrated American basketball player Dwight Howard has found "peace" after his "spiritual journey" to Varanasi and heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reforming the holy city.
Captivated by Kashi's magic, the NBA star said his recent visit "rejuvenated his soul". "At peace with myself and the world after a visit to Varanasi. A spiritual journey that has rejuvenated the soul.Congratulations @narendramodi for the magical reformation of the holy city. Varanasi has inspired so many legends, I am humbled. I am sure the reincarnation of this sacred city will inspire many more. @pixstoryapp," Howard shared on Instagram.

Howard, the 36-year-old star player in the US NBA for 18 years, also shared photos of this Kashi visit on the popular social networking platform and could be seen applying sandalwood and 'tilak' on his forehead.
Acknowledging Howard's praise, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department tweeted: "World-renowned basketball player and NBA champion @DwightHowardtraveled to #Varanasi. He enjoyed witnessing the transcendental Ganga Aarti and shared his experience on his visit to this ancient city of spirituality & culture. #UPNahiDekhaTohIndiaNahiDekha."
Fans hailed Howard's love for India. "The world knows where the true peace resides," commented a user. Howard currently plays as a Centre-Forward for Los Angeles Lakers in National Basketball Association (NBA), the North American professional basketball league.
