Wrestlers Protest News: Expect Sunday's mahapanchayat to be a huge success, say protesting wrestlers
Top wrestlers of the country, including Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat, are protesting for the last two weeks at the Jantar Mantar, demanding the sacking of Brij Bhushan as WFI chief and his arrest because of the alleged sexual harassment of women grapplers. The protesting wrestling are hoping that the khap mahapanchayat scheduled at Jantar Mantar on Sunday will be of huge success and will help in getting more support for them in their fight against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

While thanking all the supporters for standing with the protesting wrestlers, Vinesh Phogat on Saturday requested them to cooperate with authorities and police when they joined them for the mahapanchayat at Jantar Mantar on Sunday, saying their success depends on peaceful demonstration. The protesting wrestlers are hoping that the mahapanchayat will be of huge success and will help in getting more support for them in their fight against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

After the Supreme Court closed the proceedings on a plea by three women wrestlers, who have levelled sexual harassment allegations against Brij Bhushan, Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik said "it's okay" and they will decide the future course of action after consulting with seniors.
