KOLKATA: Ten team will be seen in action in the second edition of the
Bengal Snooker League
at the Saturday Club from June 20-25.
Kolkata-based
Sourav Kothari
will be representing Delhi team
RKG Snooking Champs
who will be making its debut, while
Brijesh Damani
will lead
Cue Magician
.
The tournament will also have top outstation players Alok Kumar, Manan Chandra, Dharminder Lilly, Kamal Chawla and Siddharth Parik.
The tournament will carry a prize purse of Rs 9.5 lakh, including Rs 5 lakh for the champion team and Rs 3 lakh for the runners-up.
Each team will have six players including two marquee and it will be an Indian Premier League-style play-offs for the top four teams.
The top two will play Qualifier 1 and the winners will advance into the final.
The losing team of Qualifier 1 will get a second chance and will face the winners of Eliminator, between the third and fourth placed teams, in Qualifier 2 to determine the second finalists.
