blanked Bharath (Tamil Nadu) by three frames to nil, while Tamil Nadu's Rao rallied after losing the first frame to beat state-mate S K N Rajmohan 3-1.
In another match, world disability snooker champion Subramaniam defeated Mohammed Arshad 3-0.
