WSF World Cup: India beat Egypt to reach Squash World Cup final

CHENNAI: “Egypt are Egypt for a reason,” India men’s No. 1 Abhay Singh had said ahead of the Squash World Cup semifinal. On Saturday, the defending champions, who opted to send a lower string team to India for the event, stretched the hosts for a major part of the tie but the home side did enough to seal a 3-0 win and a place in the title decider.

In the summit clash on Sunday, India will face top seeds Hong Kong, who eked out a victory on game difference following a 2-2 draw with Japan in the other semi final.
