MUMBAI: Smriti Radhakrishnan was on a roll for Maharashtra, scoring 31 points to propel Maharashtra to a facile 72-56 victory over South Western Railway in the opening encounter of the 27th UPL-Ramu Memorial basketball tournament played here at the Indian Gymkhana, Matunga, here on Sunday. Smriti's efforts were supplemented by captain Manisha Dange, who scored 17 points.

All-Stars: Tridip Rai and Geethu Anna Jose came up with standout performances from among the stars of Indian basketball to steal the honours on the concluding day of the All-Star Basketball weekened, organized by Lakdawala Developers at the Mastan YMCA courts.
While Tridip Rai topscored with 21 points in East's 95-82 over West, Geethu proved she literally towers head and shoulders over the rest of the women players by scoring 40 points in West's 77-74 victory over East.
