have been recommended for the
Arjuna Award by the
Telangana government
.
Twenty-five year-old Aruna Reddy, created history when she became the first Indian to win a bronze at the 2018 World Cup gymnastics in women's vault event in Melbourne. It's quite surprising that despite this tremendous feat, Aruna is yet to be honoured with the Arjuna Award.
Sumeeth along with Manu Attri had won the Tata Open India International and the Nepal International doubles titles in 2019.They had also won bronze at the Asia Team Championships and the Canada Open title in 2016.
The duo had the distinction of being the only Indian pair to qualify for the Rio Olympics in 2014. They were the top Indian doubles shuttlers before Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty replaced them. Incidentally, Satwik and Chirag, who are more or less sure of qualifying for Olympics, have also been recommended for Arjuna by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) a couple of days back. Sumeeth’s wife and doubles shuttler Sikki Reddy was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2018.

coach CV Nagraj, South Central Railway kabaddi coach Neetha Dadwe are recommended for the Dronacharya Award.
Nagraj produced top tennis players like Vishnu Vardhan and Saketh Myneni. Both represented the country in Davis Cup and had won multiple Asian Games medals. His wards Susheel Narla and Punna Vishal have also represented the country in Davis Cup.
Archery coach Vardhineni Preetha of Warangal has been recommended for the Dhyanchand Lifetime Achievement Award.
