KOLKATA: Two Taekwondo personalities of India, Taekwondo Hall of Fame recipients Master Pradipta Kumar Roy and Master Ruma Roy Chowdhury from West Bengal are going to attend the prestigious 2016 KUKKIWON World Taekwondo Leaders Forum on August 6 and August 7.
The 2016 World Taekwondo Leaders Forum will be hosted in Seoul, South Korea. Forum is organized by KUKKIWON-World Taekwondo Head Quarters, Seoul Metropolitan Government and Ministry of Sports, Culture & Tourism, Government of South Korea.
This Forum is designed to share the future of Taekwondo with Global Taekwondo Leaders.
On July 7, KUKKIWON (World Taekwondo Head Quarters) sent an invitation to the two Taekwondo personalities of India. KUKKIWON Official wrote them that "Dear Distinguished Masters, I would like to appreciate your contribution to promoting Taekwondo in your country. I invite you to 2016 World Taekwondo Leaders Forum,".
Besides that Master Ruma Roy Chowdhury is going to participate 2016 World Taekwondo Hanmadang Championship from August 3 to Auguet 6 at KUKKIWON where Master Pradipta Kumar Roy has also been invited as a delegate. Master Ruma Roy Chowdhury is the first Indian female who is the member of World Taekwondo Leaders Forum from 2012.
It would be another achievement for the Bengali taekwondo duo as members of the World Taekwondo Leaders Forum and join assembly of great Taekwondo personalities, World Taekwondo Head Quarters top officials, International Olympic Committee (IOC) & WTF higher Officials, government officials of South Korea and other countries. One of the world's largest Taekwondo event, "2016 World Taekwondo Hanmadang," will be an event where all taekwondo practitioners and their families, under the slogan of 'Unifying the World with Taekwondo,' will promote friendship and goodwill.
