NAGERCOIL: Vishal Solanki of RSPB won the gold in men's 105kg category on day four of the Senior
National Weightlifting Championships
on Thursday.
Solanki lifted 150kg in snatch and 180kg in clean and jerk for a total of 330kg to bag the gold.
V A Christopher of Tamil Nadu and Chandrakant Mali of Services took the silver and bronze respectively with efforts of 325kg (142+183) and 319kg (143+176) respectively.
In men's 94kg,
Pradeep Singh of RSPB bagged the gold with a total lift of 319kg (138+181) while Jagdish Vishwakarma of Services and
Sahil Sharma of Chandigarh won the silver and bronze with efforts of 318kg (140+178) and 314kg (141+173).
In women's 75kg category,
Rajwant Kaur
of Police clinched the gold with a total effort of 223kg (98+125). Seema of Delhi and
Manpreet Kaur got the silver and bronze with total lifts of 204kg (89+115) and 184kg (79+105) respectively.
