EDINBURGH: India U-13 squash player

Shreyas Mehta

scripted a remarkable comeback to win the

Scottish Junior Open

title.

Shreyas, who had earlier won the US junior open, added another title to his kitty with a comeback from the jaws of defeat to post a five game win over Colombia's Juan Jose Torres Lara. The 9/12 seeded Indian won 8-11, 8-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-7.

Like in the US tournament, Shreyas was fluent in progress, not dropping a game until the title-round. A significant win enroute to the final was against Scottish player Ben

Robert John

Barron, who was seeded higher.

The Indian's trying moments came in the final but the young talent showed the grit to wriggle out of a difficult initial phase before posting the win.
