Sharma brothers excel in Uttarakhand All India Squash tournament
NAGPUR: Upcoming city squash player Dev Sharma, currently ranked No. 2 in India in the U-11 category, added yet another feather to his cap when he won the All India Uttarakhand Squash Championship held recently at
In the final, Dev defeated Ayush Pal 3-0 in a one-sided encounter. Dev won all his five matches that he played 3-0, not losing a single game to any opponent.

Interestingly, just like the two Sharma brothers won the title, two sisters also won the title in the tournament. Anahat Singh triumphed in the Under-11 girls category, while Amira Singh emerged champion in the Under-17 girls section.
Both Kulvir and Dev are studying in Mayo College, Ajmer and are trained by Vijay Jangra in Mayo, Premchand Rai in CP Club Nagpur and
Kulvir started playing the game when he was eleven years old but Dev started early when he was barely eight. Passion for the game is what drives both the brothers to work hard and push themselves to perform better each time.
Both Dev and Kulvir are looking forward to their next tournaments -- ISA Junior Open in Chennai and All India Junior Open in Mumbai in the next few months.

Kulvir Sharma
, who was his inspiration to start playing squash, also shocked top seed Ekam Singh 3-1 in a very competitive match in the U-15 category. Kulvir used his height to good effect to dominate his opponent. He displayed wonderful skill and agility to come up trumps against Ekam Singh.Interestingly, just like the two Sharma brothers won the title, two sisters also won the title in the tournament.
