CHANDIGARH: Para-athletes
Amit Saroha and Rinku Hooda were on Tuesday honoured by Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij.
Saroha won a silver medal in club throw in World Para Athletics Championships held in London from July 14 to 23. Rinku Hooda won a silver in javelin throw in Junior World Para Athletics Championships held in Switzerland from July 31 to August 6.
In a statement, Vij said, "Such players are given full opportunity in
Haryana to advance ahead.
First Paralympics Bhawan of the country is being developed in Faridabad, on which an estimated Rs six crore would be spent."
