ONGC emerge Ramu Memorial Basketball champs

ONGC were down for almost a quarter and a half before they pulled up and maintained their lead. IOB worked hard on their defence, restricting ONGC to just 38 percent shooting.
But IOB's offence too suffered as they shot 23 for 58 from the floor.

Vishesh Brigbhuvanshi, who is generally a high contributor, was restricted to just 17 points and 6 rebounds while Yadwinder Singh had 18 points and 6 rebounds.
Centre Rikin Pethani, who was in good form, had 18 points with 10 rebounds, but only Pratham Singh for help. Pratham had 21 points and 7 rebounds. The rest of the IOB team suffered from offensive court blues.
For this win ONGC won Rs 1.5 lakh, while IOB, will take home Rs 1 lakh. Southern Railway won Rs 60,000 for their efforts, while Chattisgarh had to be content with Rs 30,000.
Sports Journalists' Association of Mumbai (SJAM) awarded the Javed Akhtar Memorial Trophy to ONGC's Vishesh Brigbhuvanshi, the best player of the Ramu Memorial Basketball tournament 2013.
