HYDERABAD: After a week's gap, week 22 of
Physical Literacy Days
moved to the new and more spacious venue, the
Gachibowli Stadium
, a change necessitated due to the ongoing roadworks from
IDBI Bank Junction
to the
Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy
.
A huge number of families assembled to take part at the new venue, where many entertainment and fun programs were held. Novotel Hyderabad Airport & GRYCS conducted fitness challenge activities which received good response from participants.

Started on February 12 this year by former All-England Championship winner
Pullela Gopichand with an aim to improve sports knowledge and physical literacy in India, this initiative aims to kick start a 'physical literacy movement' in the city. This is a community engagement program that aims to bring change in the well-being of people of Hyderabad from all sections and ages, especially children, by making them adopt an active lifestyle. A variety of fitness programs and fun activities are introduced for free access for people to participate. Until now, PL days activities were held on a 1km stretch from IDBI Bank Junction to the Pullela Gopichand Academy.
