NAGPUR: The students from schools, colleges and sports institutes will get free training under 'Udan' project, jointly implemented by Complete Pearage (CP) Group and Pragati Foundation, Mumbai.
Under this project every institute will be funded with Rs 9,70,000 along with other facilities.
The CP Group intends to fund 150 schools in the Nagpur division.
The institutes can establish sports training centre, sports hostel, develop sports library, provide training of different sports, guide the students for district-level sports competitions, establish sports awards and organize sports festivals. Under this project, the CP Group will enter into agreement with school or institute for 10 years so that the students progress in a particular sport and the country gets leaders in sports, said Dr Sandeep Patil, president, International Programmes Division, CP Group, in a statement.
The institutes, which are registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, are working for youth welfare since last 3 years, registered under 80 G & have expert human resource, are eligible to get funds. The Group have plans to extend Rs 50,000 per year for research in sports and will also adopt brilliant players. The students will have to pay Rs 500 towards insurance cover.
