, Deekshabhoomi stopped the impressive run of Brahmani's KZS Science College to reign supreme in the Nagpur University's
Inter-College Women's Volleyball tournament
which concluded at the
Nagpur University
ground, Ravi Nagar, here on Monday.
In a well-contested summit clash, Ambedkar College halted the giant strides of KZS Science College with a hard-fought 25-23, 25-13 victory.
The first set was an exciting affair with fortunes fluctuating every passing moment. Ambedkar College eves kept their composure in crunch situations to claim the first set quite narrowly at 25-23.
Once they took a handy 1-0 lead, Ambedkar College spikers dominated the second set and sealed the fate of outstation side with a 25-13 win.

was the chief architect of Ambedkar College triumph. She was well supported by Vaishnavi Totade,
Kalyani Meshram
, Kalyani Meshram, Pallavi Bahadnure, Kajal Patel, Sanvi Mankar and Ruchita Panbude.
For KZS College, Vaishnavi Dhoble, Rutuja Niltakar, Ashwini Dhote and Rohini Waghmare tried hard but could not stop the formidable Ambedkar College players.
Earlier in the semifinals, Dr Ambedkar College, Nagpur squeezed past Nagpur Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya (NSSM), Nagpur 25-23, 33-31, while KZS Science College, Brahmani ousted SSJ College 25-0, 25-5.
The third place play-off tie was claimed by SSJ College, who outclasshed NSSM, Nagpur 25-5, 25-15.
Teacher-in-charge Madhavi Mardikar, Pradhnya Bhelwa, Rajesh Alone and Amit Tembhurne were present during the finals and distributed the prizes.

Semifinals: Dr Ambedkar College, Nagpur bt NSSM, Nagpur 25-23, 33-31; KZS Science College, Brahmani bt SSJ College 25-0, 25-5.
Third place play-off: SSJ College, Brahmni bt NSSM, Nagpur 25-5, 25-15.
Final: Dr Ambedkar College, Nagpur bt KZS Science College, Brahmani 25-23, 25-13.
