AHMEDABAD: On the eve of the Kabaddi World Cup semi-final clash between Iran and Republic of Korea on Thursday, both teams had claimed that they have a plan in place for their opponents. However, on Friday night, it was Iran who executed their plans well and beat first-time semi-finalist South Korea 22-28. With this, Iran made it to their third KWC final on the trot.

After a cautious start, Iran drew the first blood but the Koreans surprised everyone by inflicting an all-out on the men in black in the 12th minute and led the game 10-4.

Iranians, however, slowly clawed their way back into the game and at the end of the first half, they trailed Koreans 11-13. After struggling in the first half, it was Iran all the way in the second.
