became the youngest Super Randonneur (SR) of Central India on Sunday when the 19-year-old completed a 600km bicycle ride (BRM) organized by Nagpur Randonneurs in the allotted time of 40 hours.

The BCCA student took 36 hours and 2 minutes to finish the ride which started from the Zero Mile square on Saturday morning and returned from Raipur on Sunday night.

The Super Randonneur (SR) title is earned by any rider who completes a series of Brevets (200km, 300km, 400km and 600km) within the same calendar year. The Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRMs) are rides called Brevets, of fixed distances that are to be completed within specified time limits

Since the start of the 2021-22 BRM calendar, Devesh completed the 200km ride on November 28, he covered the 300km distance on December 19, and rode 400km on January 15.

In the 600km BRM, where Devesh became the youngest to earn the SR title, a total of 31 cyclists registered to start the ride. Of these, 28 completed, including 60-year-old Dharmapal Fulzele and another 19-year-old rider

While Dharmapal became the oldest in Central India to achieve the feat of clearing 600km in 39.23 hours, Riyansh is among the youngest along with Devesh. If Dharmapal completes all the four rides he can become the oldest SR of the region. The previous record of region's youngest SR was held by 21-year-old Shubham.
