Asian Games and Asian indoor champion Tajinderpal Singh Toor will lead the field in men's shot put which will also see Karanveer Singh and seasoned campaigner Sourabh Vij in the fray.

National record holder in 100m hurdles Jyothi Yarraji is set to test the top sprinters by competing in both the women's 100m and 200m races. In the men's section, national record holder Amlan Borgohain will again be the one to beat as he attempts another double following his feat in IGP 3 at the same venue on Monday.

The men's javelin throw will also attract eyeballs with many of the stars, except Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, in action. The event, for which AFI has set an Asiad qualifying mark of 78.23, will see Shivpal Singh, Rohit Yadav and Karnataka's Manu DP, silver in second leg, vying for the top place.

The women's long jump will witness an interesting tussle with young Shaili Singh battling for the gold against the experienced duo of Ancy Sojan and Nayana James. Ancy had won the top spot in the first leg in Thiruvananthapuram with a leap of 6.49m while Nayana won the triple jump gold in the second leg. The men's long jump will be without Sreeshankar M, who won the third leg, but Muhammed Anees Yahiya features in the start list.

To avoid the soaring temperatures in the Garden City, the Karnataka Athletics Association has opted for an evening start after the 1pm session in the third leg hampered the athletes' performance.

In Bengaluru: Indian GP 4, starts at 4 pm
