MUMBAI: Indian master athletes won a clutch of medals, winning a total of 11 including two gold in the World Masters athletics championships which was held at Torino recently.
Abasaheb Gaikwad won the discus throw and javelin gold medals in the age category of 30-35. Parag Patil won silver in the triple jump while the second silver came from Ibrahim Arabhavi who came second in the triple jump in the U-35 men's category.
Among the bronze winners were Kavin Kondabathini who came third in duathalon and also in the half marathon and Prashant Patil who finished third in 1500m and in 5000m.
Parag Patil came third in U-35 long jump and also in the triple jump in the combined age groups 30-40. The final bronze came in the 4x400m relay.
