NEW DELHI: India’s men’s 4x100m relay team faced disqualification during the heats at the Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi, South Korea, on Friday.
The team, comprising Manikanta Hoblidar, Amlan Borgohain, Rahul Kumar, and Pranav Gurav, had initially secured second place — typically enough to secure a spot in the final. However, they were later marked as disqualified while the official results were being announced.

Malaysia’s relay team also faced disqualification for the same infraction.
It is understood that India has opted not to contest the decision.
Notably, the Indian side ran the heats without regulars Gurindervir Singh and Animesh Kujur, who were replaced by Pranav and Rahul.
