This performance positions Yadav as the sixth-best Indian javelin thrower historically. The rankings show Neeraj Chopra leading with 89.94m, followed by Kishore Jena (87.54m), Shivpal Singh (86.23m), Davinder Kang (84.57m), and DP Manu (84.35m).

Representing Uttar Pradesh Police, Yadav established a new meet record whilst achieving his personal best. He surpassed the previous record of 79.68m, set by Satbir Singh of Punjab Police in 1994. His performance included two successful throws of 83.43m and 84.21m, whilst his remaining four attempts were fouls. Kerala's Arun Baby secured second place with 76.34m, whilst CRPF's Manjinder Singh claimed third with 74.68m.

The 24-year-old has displayed consistent form throughout the year. He earned silver at the National Open in Bengaluru, throwing 79.80m, narrowly behind Vikrant Malik's winning throw of 80.02m. Earlier in qualification, Yadav had achieved 80.04m. At the Indian Grand Prix-3 in Bengaluru, he recorded 82.69m. His journey to the 80m milestone began in 2023 with an 80.27m throw in Ranchi.
