The UFC 313 will be headlined by the defending light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira going head-on against the title contender Magomed Ankalaev. The co-main event will see a rematch between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev after Dan Hooker withdrew from the fixture. With the event being slated for this Saturday, i.e., March 8, 2025, the fighters from the 12 fight cards have a final ceremonial weigh-in face-off on March 7 2025 (Friday), before going against each other inside the octagon.

Magomed Ankalaev seems confident ahead of his bout against Alex Pereira, saying, “I am going to eat this guy alive.”

The weigh-in ceremony was live streamed at 12 pm ET, along with the final staredowns amongst the fighters at the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay. The main event is scheduled to be held at the T-Mobile Arena from 10 pm ET.

The weigh-in ceremony ended with the headliners coming face to face for a stare-down. Post the ritual, Ankalaev was asked how it felt like to finally fight for the title. Amidst the audience booing, Ankalaev was quick to respond, saying, “It feels great. I'm going to eat this guy. All these people booing me right now, tomorrow they are going to love me.”

The defending champion did not hold back either in conveying his opinion that reflected upon hi self-confidence: “I think this is a great challenge. We are talking about a fighter who has been doing his work. But this is my time. Chama”

With both the fighters being equally confident about their stance in the upcoming fight, the bout will really be an interesting one. Fans are excited to watch if the title holder remains the same or there will be a dethroning taking place at UFC 313.
