While speaking on the Full Send Podcast, Cejudo talked about his viral backstage interaction with Sean O’Malley. He was asked about his interaction with one of the members of the Nelk Boys, Stephen Deleonardis, who stated, “Is that Henry? Is his name Henry? Yo Henry, you’re a b—-,” backstage during UFC 276. Cejudo had something to say about this interaction that he still remembers to this day.
Recalling the backstage insult, Cejudo replied, “First of all, what makes the Nelk Boys famous?” Cejudo remarked. “I’m still trying to figure that out; they’re a bunch of little rich kids silver spoon little c—-. . . . They’re lucky they got Uncle Dana [White] and some of that squad to protect them… I’ll take them all out…” Without being much affected by the trash talk, Cejudo has many important things to deal with for UFC Seatlle’s main event.

Khabib Nurmagomedov FULL SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW

Cejudo is giving his best effort to maintain a place in the bantamweight elite by facing off against Song Yadong at UFC Seattle on February 22. This victory is of utmost importance for Cejudo to earn a title shot in the future. If he gets defeated, a title shot will be at a far sight for him. As the pressure is at an all-time high for the UFC fighter, he indulged in a pep talk with the former lightweight champion and friend, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Cejudo was not just given hope to win a UFC gold despite his growing age, but also he was given a piece of great advice from Nurmagomedov, “You know what you need?” Nurmagomedov told Cejudo. “A first fight at 135lbs and then you go [down to flyweight], first of all should be to bring your body back and when you win that fight, don’t try to take long time [away], don’t take a vacation.” Khabib further continued, “If you fight in February, okay then March you take off, and then April you jump into training camp and fight in International Fight Week for the title – can you imagine if you come back and win at 125?”
