Former two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya joins the line as he comments on UFC veteran
Jose Aldo’s retirement announcement. The Nigerian fighter posted a reaction video for the UFC 315 main card events on his official YouTube channel. While the fighter got excited about Jack Della Maddalena dethroning Belal Muhammad from the welterweight championship throne, Adesanya equally expressed his respect for Aldo’s
retirement decision while appreciating the
career arc of the fighter.
Despite a head on clash and impressive performance mixed with impressive kicks, Jose Aldo lost to Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315
Prior to the bout between Jose Aldo and Aiemann Zahabi, Israel Adesanya put his stake on Jose Aldo. However, Izzy’s prediction turned out to be wrong, as Aldo dropped a unanimous decision to Aiemann Zahabi. With scorecards of 28-29 x 3, Zahabi secured a unanimous victory over Aldo. While Aldo put up a great performance in each of the rounds, Zahabi managed to bounce back and place Aldo on the wrong end of the judge’s scorecard, thereby turning the tide in his favor. Despite the defeat, Aldo’s soccer kick became the talk of the MMA community and the fan base of the athletes.
Towards the end of the third round, the fighter via a translator announced his retirement inside the Octagon. The decision, which is being taken by the fighter for the second time seems to be final as he specifically used the word, “I can’t do this no more”
While reacting to the entire UFC 315 main card bouts, Adesanya commented on each one of them. But upon the announcement of the legend’s retirement, Adesanya showed his respect for Aldo’s incredible career growth.
“I mean the way he, you know, he felt he won the fight. A guy like him, he doesn’t have anything else to prove. So I respect it.” Izzy continued, “Bro he is the f*cking man, King of Rio. One of the best fighters in history ever. One of the best longest reigns ever as a champion. What a lad! What a legend!”
