While Dustin Poirer is now gearing up for his retirement fight, Conor McGregor has been away from the UFC ring for a pretty long time; close to three years, to be precise after his match with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 was cancelled back in June 2024. But now Dustin Porer has spoken about Conor McGregor’s return, which has raised some eyebrows.
Dustin Poirer Gets Brutally Trolled By Fans For Praising Conor McGregor And “Disrespecting” His Wife, Jolie Poirer
Recently, Dustin Poirer appeared on the Outta Pocket with RGIII podcast and spoke about what he feels about Conor McGregor’s return. Dustin Porer opened up that if he would have to appear against Conor McGregor, it would be solely for the compensation that he would receive.
He also added, “Look, I love to talk trash on Conor, but if anybody can put it all together and come back, if he can find that passion and that fire, and put it together, this guy can. I’m not saying anybody, but this guy can. He’s special. He has something special…”
Dustin Poirer’s words have not gone down well with his fans. Fans have brought in the infamous incident when Conor McGregor accused Dustin Poirer’s wife at UFC 264 of “being in his DMs”.
A fan wrote, “With all due respect to DP but this guy called ur wife h*e and accused her of trying to sleep with him, but u praising him still. I don’t know ��”
Another fan wrote, “Imagine simping for this dude after all he said about you and your wife ����♂️”, while a third fan commented, “Dustin paying respects to his wife’s boyfriend is crazy”.
At UFC 264 when Conor McGregor accused Dustin Poirer’s wife, Jolie Poirer, of “being in his DMs”, she showed him the middle finger and made a statement back then.
Apart from praising Conor McGregor on the recent podcast, he also spoke about the times that he defeated Conor McGregor and added that he believes Conor is in it “for the limelight”.
Dustin Poirer is yet to react on the way fans have bashed him for “disrespecting” his wife by praising Conor McGregor.
