Dana White had a chat with the media after Carty’s Dublin win, “We’ve got to get him to New York or Boston or Vega, whatever we’re going to do next, we’re definitely bringing Carty somewhere, I don’t know what Tom (Loeffler, 360 Boxing’s promoter) is thinking but they do a great job of matchmaking.”
White kept his promise and the Dubliner made his American debut on March 16, 2025 at Madison Square Garden in New York, facing Ohio’s heavyweight boxer, Dajuan Calloway. With Carty weighing in at 255-lbs, the scale tipped at Calloway, despite being shorter, weighing in at 409-lbs.

The heavyweight boxer looked visibly distraught as he suffered his first loss in his professional career, his American dreams crushed.
