Conor McGregor, the UFC star, has been away from the octagon for close to four years but has remained one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. However, while he has seen a lot of success in his career, Conor McGregor’s life has been full of controversies. One such controversy happened in January 2023 when a woman jumped from Conor McGregor’s yacht.
Irish Woman Claimed She Had To Jump In The Sea To Save Herself From Getting Physically Assaulted By Conor McGregor
According to the Spanish publication, Ultima Hora, an Irish woman filed a case against the UFC star for physically assaulting her. Apparently, the Irish woman knew Conor McGregor from a pretty early age and she along with some other friends, were celebrating the UFC star’s birthday eve in 2022 at a nightclub in Ibiza.
The party then shifted to Conor McGregor’s yacht, where things suddenly took a turn. The Irish woman claimed to have been verbally insulted by Conor McGregor initially, and then he started hitting her and brutally injured her.
As per Ultima Hora, the Irish woman said, “It was as if he were possessed. I knew I had to get out of the boat because I thought he was going to kill me."
The woman did not understand what to do to protect herself from Conor McGregor and decides to jump from his yacht. She was saved by a Red Cross boat.
However, while the Irish woman filed a formal complaint against the UFC star, Conor McGregor, he strongly denied all the accusations filed against him.
The woman filed the civil action case against Conor McGregor in January 2023 but by February 2023, she had dropped all her complaints. It is not known publicly the reason behind such an action of hers.
However, this was not the first instance where Conor McGregor was accused by women of physical assault. A woman in 2018 named Nikita Hand claimed that Conor McGregor brutally injured her and sexually assaulted her.
The civil court jury in Ireland ordered Conor McGregor to pay her a heft compensation due to the way she was injured. While Conor McGregor has denied all accusations against him, he did admit that he cheated on his fiancee with Nikita Hand but claimed it was all consensual.
