Dodgers star Mookie Betts recently opened up about the Dodgers' strategy for the 2025 season while spilling beans on the team's secret for winning last season.On Tuesday, Mookie Betts was interviewed by USA TODAY at the Los Angeles Dodgers clubhouse. During a segment of the interview, Betts reflected back on the Dodgers' 2024 World Series win and revealed the secret behind the team's success. Talking about the team's mentality last season, Betts said:“We didn’t win last year by talking about the World Series every day. We won last year because we talked about the task at hand. I think we have to continue to talk about the task at hand and not worry about the end goal. We can’t race to the finish line."Mookie Betts had a dramatic incident last season during Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium against the Dodgers when a fan tried to pry his glove open after catching the ball at the right-field wall. The Dodgers fan Austin Capobianco had to face massive backlash and recently recalled the incident during an interview with The Athletic.Austin Capobianco talked about the consequences of his actions and how it affected his family. Talking about the same, he said:“All the stuff my family has had to deal with because of me. The non stop phone calls. The people sending me pictures of their ugly looking penises. The packages. It was poop. I want nothing to do with that memory."Mookie Betts was drafted into the MLB by the Boston Red Sox in June 2014. Betts stayed with the Red Sox till 2019 before he decided to join the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020 and has stayed with the team since then. In 2021, Mookie Betts signed a 12-year contract with the Dodgers worth $365 Million, which included a signing bonus of $65 Million and $30 Million as average annual salary.
