You made an emotional claim that probably had to get deleted, which it did. You deal with that differently, you learn how to deal with it [as] we all make mistakes,” he said.

Jon Smoltz also defended Snitker. He said managers might play a certain way that they believe will benefit a player. It does not necessarily mean that one player is being treated differently from the other. Each player, each moment, and each situation is different.
