Previously with the Boston Red Sox and now with Atlanta Braves, Chris Sale has had a brilliant season last year, where he has proved why he’s skilled at being a pitcher. Sale managed to win the first Cy Young award too. However, having shown his skills, there have been speculations that the 36-year-old might retire too soon.

Chris Sale talks about retirement speculations and his future


There have been too many speculations on whether or not Chris Sale, who previously played with the Boston Red Sox and is currently playing with the Atlanta Braves, might decide to call it a day.
During his days with the Boston Red Sox, Chris Sale struggled with his health concerns. Many baseball analysts and fans were worried if Sale would retire, citing health issues.

In an interview with Foul Territory, Chris Sale, while interacting with hosts and former MLB players Cameron Maybin and AJ Pierzynski explained that he is never sure when his final season will come along.
Sale also tried explaining that he thought that there was a chance that 2024 could be his final year, but he proved that he could still be elite in the Majors. Sale said:
"I can't get too far ahead of myself. Let's say I sit here right now and say I want to play for 5 more years and my arm falls off in June, what am I really doing? Or if I say it's my last year, I thought last year was going to be my last year and look how that worked out. For me it's let's take this a day at a time.“
Further, Chris Sale said:
“Let's see where this goes. If it's good, then we'll see. If it's not, I guess we'll still see," Sale continued.

Chris Sale all set to make his 2025 debut on Opening Day


As the Opening Day approaches, the Atlanta Braves have now decided that Chris Sale shall be the Opening Day starter. Chris Sale shall be making his 2025 debut, which will be a solid test for the eight-time All-Star. Even Atlanta Braves’ pitcher Spencer Strider is also set to jump back onto the mound in his first spring training appearance in a year after Tommy John surgery.
