Stuart Fairchild made a strong statement on one of baseball’s biggest stages on Saturday. The outfielder helped Team Chinese Taipei crush Team Czechia 14-0 during their Pool C game at the World Baseball Classic. The game was played at the famous Tokyo Dome in Japan. Fairchild wasted no time showing his power. In the second inning, he stepped up with two outs and the bases loaded. The moment turned huge very quickly. On the very first pitch he saw from Czechia pitcher Jan Novak, Fairchild smashed an 83.2 mph changeup deep to left-center field. The ball flew out for a grand slam.

His teammates Chen-Wei Chen, Tsung-Che Cheng and Cheng-Hui Sung all crossed the plate. In seconds, Chinese Taipei’s lead jumped and the momentum fully shifted. By the end of that inning, Chinese Taipei was already leading 6-0. The team kept attacking and added eight more runs. The game ended early in seven innings under the mercy rule, sealing a dominant 14-0 victory. Fairchild finished the night perfect at the plate. He went 2-for-2, scored four runs and drew two walks. It was a performance that reminded fans of the talent he has shown during his MLB career with the Cleveland Guardians.

In the pictures, she wore a Taiwanese cap and a jersey tied in the front over a white top with grey jeans. The posts showed her cheering proudly during her husband’s powerful performance.

Fairchild has played five seasons in Major League Baseball so far. Across those years, he has recorded a .223 batting average with 18 home runs and 68 RBIs. But performances like this show why many believe he still has more to give.

Behind the scenes, Hanna has been one of his strongest supporters. The couple first met during their college years at Wake Forest University. Fairchild played three seasons of NCAA baseball for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons from 2015 to 2017. During that time, he hit .334 with 27 home runs and 155 RBIs in 177 games.

Hanna studied Politics and International Affairs at Wake Forest and graduated in 2018. According to her LinkedIn profile, she later completed a master’s degree in event management from New York University. She now works as a communications specialist.

Their relationship reached a big moment in October 2024 when Hanna revealed their engagement on Instagram. Fairchild proposed beside the Wenatchee River in Leavenworth, Washington.

The couple later got married on December 7, 2025, in a private ceremony in Rhodes, Greece.

Now, as the World Baseball Classic continues, Hanna will be hoping that Stuart Fairchild keeps this strong form going. If he does, it could also strengthen his chances of earning a spot on the Cleveland Guardians’ Opening Day roster.
