Kansas City Royals first baseman and designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino is widely known for his strong presence at the plate. Pasquantino proposed to Ryann at Jacob L. Loose Park in Kansas City shortly after the Royals played their final home game of the season. Pasquantino, born on October 10, 1997, in Richmond, Virginia, was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 11th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation as a reliable hitter in Major League Baseball. Ryann Pasquantino, whose maiden name is Harris, was born on May 20, 1999, in Dublin, Ohio. She grew up in a family that had a strong connection to sports. Her parents are Jack Harris and Christine Woodruff. She has several siblings, including Dustin and Cole Woodruff, along with Alexis and Sydney Harris.

Sports were part of her life from a young age. Her mother ran track at Eastern Kentucky University, while one of her sisters played soccer at Miami University and studied biology. Growing up in that environment helped Ryann develop her own interest in athletics.

During high school, she played soccer at Dublin Coffman High School in Ohio. She became one of the key players on the team and helped them win multiple conference titles. Ryann was also a four-time OCC Champion and served as team captain during her school years.

After high school, she continued her soccer career at Old Dominion University. Ryann played as a defender for the Old Dominion Monarchs from 2017 to 2018 while studying biology. Her academic performance was also strong. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2017.

Outside of playing soccer, Ryann has also worked in coaching. She has helped train young players at youth soccer camps and has served as a peer collaborator.

The Royals slugger is also very close to his grandfather, Dennis. Pasquantino has shared that his grandfather played a major role in influencing his decision to represent Italy in international baseball.

Because of his ancestry connected to Italy, along with family roots linked to both the United States and Canada near Niagara Falls, Pasquantino technically had the option to represent more than one country. In the end, he chose Italy to honor his heritage. Today, he leads Team Italy as captain in the World Baseball Classic.
