Marlins Radio Network was fast in posting a video of McMullen introducing himself to the fanbase, which was announced on Friday. This is a new chapter for the franchise's radio coverage with a new fresh voice in broadcasting.

How McMullen Landed in the Marlins Booth

Of his impressive broadcasting résumé on multiple levels, McMullen-a Syracuse University alum-is no one-trick pony. Recently he broadcast for three seasons as play-by-play man for the Indians of the Indy-based Triple A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. All that exposure minor league baseball did, along with his doing collegians, definitely helped to firm up a distinct, strong kind of style by which he'd easily reach even an MLB's audience.

McMullen comes to Indianapolis having covered games for the Cape Cod League's Brewster Whitecaps and the Auburn Doubledays, a former Low-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. McMullen also had experience covering college sports by doing play-by-play for Ball State University on ESPN+ and Learfield IMG. The wealth of experience gets him ready for his full-time step into the big leagues.

Next week, McMullen departs for Jupiter, Florida, to cover spring training, where he will work toward familiarizing himself with the Marlins' roster. He will call Grapefruit League games up to his regular-season debut on Opening Day.

With McMullen at the helm, Marlins fans can expect a new exciting voice on their airwaves as he takes the lead role for the Marlins Radio Network. With his passion for baseball, experience in broadcasting, and fresh energy, he is sure to bring a new dynamic to Marlins radio coverage.

McMullen will finally get his MLB debut on March 27 as the Marlins host the Pittsburgh Pirates at 4:10 p.m. ET. He is one of the young stars in the broadcasting world, and this is a new chance for him to make history in South Florida.
