The Boston Red Sox signed Alex Bregman for a $120 Million deal on Wednesday. Almost a day after Bregman's signing, Red Sox's manager Alex Cora interacted with the media during the team's press conference and launched praises for Bregman. Here's everything Cora said about Bregman’, as the Red Sox head into Spring Training.

Alex Cora’s hot take on Alex Bregman’s $120 Million Red Sox signing

On Thursday, Alex Cora appeared in front of the media during the Boston Red Sox's Spring Training press conference and talked about Alex Bregman's $120 Million signing. Cora claimed to have a "good relationship with" Bregman. Talking about the same, Cora said:“As a person, it’s a kid that I really respect, I really like. We went through a lot for a while there. And we have a good relationship. You guys will see — you’ve seen it before. You guys have talked to him."
Apart from Alex Cora, the former general manager of the New York Mets, Jim Duquette also praised Alex Bregman during his Thursday appearance on the MLB Network Radio. Talking about how the Boston Red Sox is an "almost perfect fit" for Bregman, Duquette said:“This is a far different, far different team than what they’ve had over the past couple of years.
Bregman isn’t a 30 to 35 home run guy every year but he rakes, first off, at Fenway Park. Second of all, he’s a 25-home run guy maybe."
"Hopefully, he’ll get back to his idea of the strike zone, not chasing. He’s never really chased, he’s always been a contact guy too — a pull hitter as we’ve talked about a lot. This is a really, almost perfect fit for him offensively," Duquette added. While the ex-Mets manager appeared impressed with Alex Bregman's decision to sign with the Boston Red Sox, Justin Verlander's brother Ben found the decision unimpressive. Ben Verlander recently shared his reaction to Bregman's $120 Million contract, following fans' criticism towards Scott Boras for ditching Detroit Tigers' $170 Million.Apart from the Detroit Lions and the Boston Red Sox, Alex Bregman also received an offer from the Chicago Cubs. However, instead of Bregman, the Cubs manager Craig Counsell revealed plans to sign Matt Shaw.
