During a recent appearance on the Baseball Today broadcast, reputed MLB insider Chris Rose reacted to the silence around the Dodgers’ pitching star’s newly achieved feat. Rose even went on to point out that it was a clear sign of disrespect for Yamamoto. He said,

“Number one, he’s freaking awesome. And number two, he’s the highest-paid pitcher in the game. So we should be following him more closely than we do.”


He even labeled it as

“I think people do have Dodgers fatigue. It’s almost like a ‘F them’ mindset. They’re playing a different sport.”

According to Chris Rose, the recent achievement of Yoshinobu Yamamoto deserved a celebration just like any other Dodgers player is lauded whenever they strike a home run or create a record. The pitching prowess of Yoshinobu Yamamoto came on the world map as he went on to deliver a scoreless inning against the Atlanta Braves, which was a huge contribution to the Dodgers' 2-1 victory. The $325 million addition of the Los Angeles Dodgers created waves in the MLB fraternity as Yoshinobu Yamamoto went on to sign the biggest deal as a pitcher in the history of major league baseball back in 2023.
