Move over, Gerrit Cole—there’s a new star in town, and her lat muscles are stealing the show! Amy Crawford Cole, girlfriend of the MLB ace, is performing more than just her prowess in the field of family these days. The recent workout enthusiast showed her incredible latissimus dorsi muscles in a power-packed gym session that fans could not stop talking about. Still, before we get to those potential lats, let’s have a look at Amy’s workout routine and the supergroup of students she’s training with.
Amy’s Lat Workout: Proving That Fitness Goals Are Better When You’ve Got Strong Friends!
Amy associated with her buddy Alec Treffers, a trained nutritional consultant, and David Prizer, a yoga instructor and certified personal trainer, to attend a demanding workout session on a Monday. With weights and pure determination by their side, the trio exercised the lats through lat pull-downs, barbell presses, dumbbell rows, and cable rows. Moreover, Alec, the mood maker, kept the music dynamic and charged by incorporating a cool song from Retroj, which was "Baddies Alert," to the workout. Indeed, the workout is only as good as the playlist it is set to.
Amy, who was also decked out in a matching vest and pants combo, looked fine and all, but it was Alec, who was dressed in a sports bra and a pair of black track pants, that turned more heads. The synchronicity of the duo came not only from their similar clothes but could also be seen in the determination and form of each movement that they absolutely nailed.
“Workouts with strong friends >," Alec captioned the Instagram story, and it’s not quite reasonable to oppose the idea. This was more than a simple workout—it was a women’s showcase of strength, unity, and support.
Amy and Alec, who trained at The Society, a gym owned by IFBB pros Khi Evans and Liz Martin, in Costa Mesa, California, were sure to be in the best of hands. Under the direction of Dave Prizer, an experienced trainer with seven years of service, the ladies learned new activities and exceeded the limits that they set for themselves—and they enjoyed every minute of it. Lastly, the training was held in The Society, which was the place of establishment of Khi Evans and Liz Martin, IFBB professionals during their IFBB seasons.
Although Amy is known mainly for her family content on Instagram, her history as a sports person is undisputed. Amy’s competitive spirit is evident since she met Gerrit Cole when both of them were well-respected athletes at UCLA and subsequently, decided them as a couple. Ever since she married Cole in 2016, Amy has been juggling her life as a mom to two boys - Caden, born in 2020, and Everett, born in 2023, with being a supportive MLB wife.
The power couple never had their passion for athletics ever fade away. Amy's sibling, Brandon Crawford was also an accomplished baseball player who ended his career with the San Francisco Giants after 13 years of great playing. The Crawford-Cole family is the kind that brings the heat on and off the field.
Next time you see Gerrit Cole on the field, remember that his MVP behind the scenes is striving to be the top in the gym-inserting one rep at a time. Who says moms can't have abs-and lat muscles-too?
