“Feels like home”: Matt Chapman gets emotional about San Francisco Giants’ legacy

With his second season with the San Francisco Giants, Matt Chapman has had a beautiful, emotional, and passionate experience being with the team, while wearing the jersey, and feeling the heat. Matt Chapman talks about how the team feels like home and there has been so much respect for the players who have played in the history.In his recent interview with Giants broadcaster Glen Kuiper, Matt Chapman talks about how he felt playing for the Giants. He spoke about how the team meant so much to him. Wearing the uniform was a matter of pride for him. Chapman said: “Until you get in the uniform and get in the building, and feel how much pride and passion this organisation has for being a Giant like this, it means something when you put the jersey on….”Chapman further spoke about how much respect he has for the Giants, he said:“There’s respect for people who have done it before you, there’s respect for the city, there’s expectations that the fans have…”Being a part of a legendary team made Chapman emotional. He said:“For me to be a part of it and how everybody else feels about it I feel the same way it’s my favourite place I’ve ever played. It feels like home and there’s nowhere else where I’d rather be…”Earlier in his career, Matt Chapman has played with the Oakland Athletics and Toronto Blue Jays. The San Francisco Giants is Chapman’s third MLB team. Chapman was also born in Victorville in California. In March 2024, Chapman signed a one-year, $18 million contract with the Giants. In September 2024, he signed a six-year, $151 million contract extension.While Matt Chapman, who is powered with energy and skill, is excited playing for the San Francisco Giants, which is pretty understandable from his brilliant performance.
