Famous Sportscaster Lee Hamilton Reveals San Diego Padres Will Be Offering A $8 Million Deal To Jurickson Profar

On a recent episode of his podcast, sportscaster Lee Hamilton has revealed that the San Diego Padres are offering Jurickson a one year deal estimated to be worth $8 million. Lee added, "I've been told the Padres have gone back, talked to Jurickson Profar and are willing to offer him one year, with a second-year option with a pay bump. They're willing to go $1.5 to $8 million…”

Sportscaster Lee also added that this offer from the San Diego Padres “sounds feasible” to him, considering the performance of Jurickson in the 2024 MLB season.

Jurickson Profar’s MLB Journey With Colorado Rockies And Joining The San Diego Padres For The Second Time

Jurickson’s journey with the San Diego Padres actually started a pretty long time back when he was traded by the Oakland Athletics and ended up joining the San Diego Padres back in 2019. Jurickson proved his worth and in 2021, he signed a three year contract with the San Diego Padres that amounted to a whopping $21 million.

But in 2022, Jurickson cancelled his contract with the San Diego Padres and became a free agent, only to later sign a one year deal with the Colorado Rockies for $7.75 million.

As fate would have it, the San Diego Padres managed to acquire Jurickson again in the last season of Major League Baseball with a one year deal that was worth $1 million.

However, fans are confused since on one hand, Lee Hamilton is sure about Jurickson signing a $8 million deal with his former team, on the other hand, MLB insider Robert Murray has a completely different opinion on the situation.

Recently, Robert said on his podcast, “This offseason I think we're going to be in a spot where the Padres are not going to be in a position to offer Profar exactly what he wants and they're going to be a decent amount behind unless they trade a player. My guess as of this point is that Profar is playing elsewhere in 2025. He's got a pretty strong interest overall around the league.

At this moment, these speculations have not been confirmed either by Jurickson Profar or by the team.
