During a recent interview with the MLB Network, Kyle Tucker revealed his opening day plans. On being asked about what would be his first meal choice during his opening day in Tokyo, the 28-year-old Florida-based athlete said,

“So my favorite food is sushi; I am really excited to try some sushi.”

Recently, Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell spoke about the addition of Kyle Tucker to the team’s clubhouse. He even mentioned how the inclusion of Tucker would leverage the team for the upcoming MLB season. While talking about the team’s approach and the player, Counsell said,

“There are bats that just aren't on every team. They’re just, they’re at that level. And his production and his consistency and just the damage kind of a nightly basis on how the other manager has to think about. Tucker's coming up; you have to treat those guys differently. It’s nice to be able to write one of those guys’ names in your lineup.”

Craig Counsell further added that he would really want the Cubs to enter the playoffs. He said-

“Yeah it's been great. We have a unique camp because we start the season in Japan. That’s an early start, and it's created like a welcome urgency for everybody, I think. You know the way I see this is the Chicago Cubs should be expected to be in the playoffs, and we should have those expectations every single year, but anything less than that doesn’t make sense to me.”

However, replacing Cody Bellinger won't be an easy task for Tucker. However, with Craig Counsell at the helm—one of the brightest minds in the game—there’s confidence that he can add valuable depth to the team. Bellinger’s time in Chicago was exceptional, bringing energy to the squad and fans alike with his left-handed power, seasoned leadership, and flair. That type of influence is tough to replicate.
