Bobby Miller gets into concussion protocol first day of Spring Training
On Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers faced the Chicago Cubs. During the third inning of the game, Bobby Biller was hit on the head by his pitch to Cubs first baseman Michael Busch. The ball was at the speed of 105.5 mph when it bounced back from Busch's bat to hit Biller, knocking him to the ground.
As he exited the game, there was a visible red welt on the right side of his head. According to a recent report from MLB.com on Friday, Bobby Biller entered the concussion protocol and will be examined until the Dodgers medical team finds him healthy enough to get back on the field.
Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy checked in with Bobby Miller after he was hit by the liner. Muncy claimed that Miller was "pissed about the curveball" hitting him in the head. Talking about his conversation with Miller, Muncy said:
"It's always very terrifying and frightening. Thankfully, he seems like he was OK. When the trainer came out, asked him if he knew where he was, he made a little joke about hanging a curveball. Right then, you kind of knew he was fine."Apart from Max Muncy, the Los Angeles Dodgers star Dave Roberts also talked to the media about Mike Miller's on-field accident. Roberts claimed that the ball hit Miller "pretty flush." Talking about his reaction to Miller getting hit on the first day of Spring Training, Roberts said:
"It squared him up pretty good. It was kind of the front side of the head, and you can just see the distance that it traveled once it hit. So there was some deflection, but it hit him pretty flush."The Los Angeles Dodgers ended up losing the game to the Chicago Cubs by 12-4. The Dodgers will now face the Cubs again in Sloan Park on Friday. Which team do you think will ace the win this time?
