Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers And The Boston Red Sox Might Not Be Signing Alex Bregman Due To Their Current Roster, Says Jeff Passan

As per ESPN’s Jeff Passan the Houston Astros might not be looking into offering a new deal to Alex Bregman because they have already signed on Isaac Paredes to be their third baseman. Jeff Passan has also revealed that the Detroit Tigers already have Jace Jung and Matt Vierling so it is unlikely that they would be offering Alex Bregman a good deal

Jeff Passan continues, “And the Blue Jays really have no excuse, beyond a luxury tax payroll already around $270 million that would leap into Steve Cohen tax territory with Bregman.”

Jeff Passan also added that Alex Cora, the manager of the Boston Red Sox wants to sign Alex Bregman “badly” but the team has only been able to offer $52.3 million to free agents.

Currently, it is not confirmed which teams are actually interested in acquiring the star player. Alex Bregman, too has not made any official statements about the whole controversy surrounding his free agency.

Alex Bregman Should "Reconsider" His Decision Of Joining The Chicago Cubs

A few days ago, ESPN’s Jesse Rogers appeared on an episode of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight and added that Alex Bregman should not be choosing the Chicago Cubs for the upcoming season of Major League Baseball.

ESPN’s Jesse Rogers spoke about how Alex Bregman would be a "liability" if he starts playing in the Wrigley Field.

He also added, “It is the most difficult ballpark of any for a right-handed hitter to double. Which is basically the most important skill that Alex Bregman needs to be chasing.”

In the last couple of days, after Alex Bregman turned down the $156 million deal with the Houston Astros, he has been slammed by fans and experts. Many believe the Houston Astros deal was a pretty fair deal and he might not get one as such.

As of now, Alex Bregman remains a free agent despite consistently strong performances through the years.
