The consecutive victory of the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Chicago Cubs during the opening day in Tokyo clearly proved that they have the best roster lineup and are totally prepared to lift the World Championship Ring again. Despite being in the spotlight after including the Japanese pitching prodigy during the off-season, the cracks in the Dodgers’ lineup speak volumes about the reality of the team. MLB analyst spoke about one of the most important issues that has been ignored by the Dodgers for a long time.

MLB analyst Ken Rosenthal opens up on Dodgers’ repeated pitching issue

From boasting about Shohei Ohtani’s global stardom to a long list of talented players in the roster, the Dodgers have everything that makes them one of the strongest contenders for the 2025 World Series Championship, but despite having almost everything, the popular MLB team struggles with one segment repeatedly. Renowned MLB analyst Ken Rosenthal pointed out the issue with the Dodgers’ lineup during an episode of Foul Territory. While talking about the numbers problem with respect to the Dodgers stashing in names to the roster, Rosenthal said-“What are they gonna do with all these guys? How are they going to pitch, and that might prompt them to do something at some point?”
He further explained-“They have got a number problem. And the numbers problem will indicate to me, at some point, yes, they would have to entertain things, but they also have an issue, the Japanese players, Sasaki and Yamamoto, and Ohtani as well, once he starts pitching.
Their pitchers, let’s face it, have gotten hurt over the years; it’s been a repeated problem for them.” According to Ken Rosenthal, the Los Angeles Dodgers are quite reluctant to trade their talented starters, which is only blowing up in their own face. Reportedly, the Dodgers already have a star-studded roster, and adding in more athletes would serve no purpose for the team. Therefore, trading off a few names from the roster can help the Dodgers dig deep into their loopholes and come up with a better team for the 2025 MLB season.
